§ 01Lab overview
This program grounds executive teams in generative AI for hotels.
Rather than treating AI as a trend presentation, the program combines guided facilitation, hospitality examples, and hands-on workflow mapping. Teams move from shared vocabulary into concrete pilot choices, governance patterns, and internal enablement actions. Five modules, run as a cohort or mixed and matched to a team's priorities.
Looking for the full half-day cadence? See the 5-module programme — same modules, delivered as five half-day workshops over 20 hours.
§ 03Curriculum — 2-day intensive
4 modules · 4 half-day blocks · 2 days on-site
The five-module programme compressed for time-constrained cohorts: a combined AI-foundations-and-prompting morning, then the research, data, and rapid prototyping workshops in full — four half-day blocks across two days on-site.

A combined morning that opens the cohort
§ 04Ready to talk?
The Horwath team can adapt the 2-day cadence, the cohort mix, and the working agenda around the decision you actually need to make. Tell us what you’re working through and we’ll come back with a brief.
A fast, combined opening that gives the cohort a shared mental model of how AI works in hospitality, then turns that frame straight into the most transferable skill of the programme: writing structured prompts that consistently produce usable output for daily hotel work. Governance and playbook references travel with participants as take-home material.
Learning objective
Build a shared mental model of how AI works in hospitality, classify the tasks where AI fits, and construct structured prompts that consistently produce usable outputs for daily hotel work.
Who it’s for
Leadership, department heads, all staff
You will learn to
What you take away
How AI actually works, what's hype and what's real in hospitality, and where to apply it across your property.
You leave with: A shared mental model of how AI works in hospitality and where it fits across your property.
A structured prompting method that consistently produces usable AI output for real hotel tasks, applied to your own work in-session.
You leave with: A structured prompting method applied to your own daily hotel tasks in-session.

Smarter research, stronger institutional memory
Hotels depend on two forms of knowledge: reliable intelligence from outside the organisation and operational expertise held within it. AI can accelerate access to both — but only when teams know how to find the right evidence, verify what they receive, and ground AI in trusted hotel information. In this hands-on workshop, participants work in pairs to conduct AI-augmented research and build a working hotel knowledge assistant using accessible, off-the-shelf tools.
Learning objective
Use AI to conduct structured, evidence-backed research and create a document-grounded hotel knowledge assistant using accessible off-the-shelf tools.
Who it’s for
Management, strategy teams, operations leads, HR and training teams, and department heads responsible for research, organisational knowledge or operational decision-making.

Scope → Gather → Curate → Synthesise → Verify → Deliver: a guided research assignment in pairs, turning a broad hotel question into a focused brief and a management-ready output — with every decision-critical claim verified against its evidence.
You leave with: A reusable research workflow, research-brief template, source-evaluation framework, claim-verification checklist and management-output structure.
Build and test a working knowledge assistant on a prepared hotel document store using no-code, off-the-shelf tools — then probe how it handles missing, conflicting and outdated information, and when a more advanced RAG solution is justified.
You leave with: First-hand experience building and testing a hotel knowledge assistant, plus a reusable document-store guide, assistant configuration template, testing checklist and RAG decision framework.

Turn data into decisions faster
Every hotel sits on valuable data (occupancy trends, guest feedback, revenue patterns), but extracting insights usually means waiting for reports or wrestling with spreadsheets. This workshop unlocks self-service analysis for non-technical staff, turning data into decisions faster.
Learning objective
Use AI to query data in plain language, automate Excel tasks, and produce decision-ready narratives from hotel datasets.
Who it’s for
Revenue management, finance, operations, spreadsheet users

What you take away
File types AI can read, upload basics, PII discipline, and what to never put in a consumer-tier AI tool.
You leave with: A clear rulebook for what data can and can't go into which AI tools — PII discipline included.
Ask questions of your data in plain English, with a live demo on real hotel datasets.
You leave with: Query templates for your hotel's KPIs that you can reuse on every new dataset.
Automate formulas, pivot tables, and charts with AI assistance.
You leave with: An automated, AI-assisted version of your most repetitive Excel task.
Turn numbers into stakeholder-ready recommendations and build self-service workflows for your team.
You leave with: A data storytelling template that turns raw numbers into stakeholder-ready recommendations.

Build working tools with AI, no coding required
Every hotel has operational frustrations that nobody has time to fix: manual processes, information gaps, repetitive tasks. This workshop shows how to turn those problems into working software prototypes using AI, without writing a single line of code.
Learning objective
Translate operational problems into specifications, direct AI to build prototypes, and evaluate feasibility.
Who it’s for
Operations managers, department heads, IT teams
You will learn to
What you take away
Define before you build. Translate operational problems into clear specs.
You leave with: A written specification for a real operational problem from your own property.
Hands-on. Direct AI to build a working prototype from your specification.
You leave with: A working prototype built live from your specification — without writing a line of code.
Evaluate feasibility, plan next steps, and know when to involve IT.
You leave with: A feasibility assessment and IT handoff checklist for taking your prototype further.
